Awareness Presentation

Last weekend long time SADS volunteer, Dick Stafford joined a group in speaking to the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians at their annual meeting in Las Vegas.  The topic was Sudden Cardiac Death in Young Athletes.   We'd like to congratulate Dick for all his hard work in raising awareness of SADS!

Awareness at the Olympics!

The Tolosky family has been a long time supporter of the SADS foundation with their annual Christie's Heartoberfest SADS benefit in loving memory of their daughter and sister, Christie, who died of previously undetected Long QT in June of 2005.

Now the Tolosky family is raising awareness at the 2010 Winter Olympics!  They arranged to put a Christie's Heartoberfest banner on the US Bobsled team's bobsled.  It is truly amazing to think that the millions of Olympic attendees, athletes, and viewers tuned in will see the banner!
