Question for Cindy 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,
I read your story in a different reply and I'm in a similar situation where my kids were negative per EKG and stress test, but I have a positive genetic testing. They are in the process of getting tested but I have a question about what they did for treatment for you and your kids now that you know?. You were asymptomatic, but have the mutation what do you have to do now?.
Thanks a lot!
Dolores

Hi Dolores - All three of us (myself and my 2 boys) are all on beta blockers. My elecrtophysiologist cardiologist has recommended that I get an ICD implanted in me. My boys cardiologist has not recommended that for them due to their ages (5 and 15). I am extrememly reluctant to get the implant as I am 43 years old and have never had any problems with my heart so it's a difficult decision. I think I may seek 2nd opinion on this in the future. thank you Cindy for taking the time to reply.
Did your kids have any side effects from the beta blockers?. I'm starting to think that's going to be the course of action for mine as well.
Dolores

Hi Dolores - No. None of us are experiencing any side effects at all from the beta blockers. Good luck with everything. Cindy
