Interval 4 Months ago Karma: 0
My QT interval became normal during my stress test and also during my ephinephrine challenge. Has anyone else experienced/heard of this? I was diagnosed with LQTS in march and waiting on results from my genetic test

Re:Interval 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I had both of those tests done also that came back normal also had only one EKG show boarderline lqt. But I have fainted 3 times the most recient is 5 years ago. My doctor has told me to live as though I have LQT I may never know if I have it for sure. MY sister has a Defib and her daughter died from it almost 6 years ago. It is so frustrating at times especially when I have a cold and can't take anything for it.

Hey my daughter has a strong family history of LQTS. She's 6 yrs old and so far has not fainted, but 3 out of 5 EKGs were borderline for LQTS. Her paternal Grandfather and paternal Aunt and Uncle have LQTS for sure. Her uncle actually even had his heart stop twice even while on meds. He had a defib put on when he was 8 yrs old. Just curious if you know your actual QT interval? Her Aunt & uncle's intervals are in the 490's but Kendyll's was 455-460 and so they said she's borderline LQTS. They said we could treat her with beta blockers as if she had it for sure or we could just keep an eye on it. He can't tell me "for sure" if she definately has it or not. Would you go ahead with the beta blockers? As far as I know they don't have bad side effects except for a little sleepiness. Just looking for as much input as I can get before I decide, thanks for taking the time to read this
