Koch Family Raising Awareness in Georgia
Koch Family Raising Awareness in Georgia
10/20/2011
Tonight at Alive After Five, in downtown Roswell, a group of 2nd grade girl scouts will be hosting a Bake Sale in front of The Chandlery to benefit The SADS Foundation (www.sads.org), in Honor of baby Audrey Koch. The SADS Foundation is an awesome non-profit dedicated to research, awareness, education and support towards preventing fatal events from sudden arrhythmic death syndromes (SADS). Audrey (age 1) has a heart condition (Long QT Syndrome) that falls in this category, and she herself is a survivor from a resuscitated sudden death event earlier this summer.
Also! Plum District Atlanta (www.plumdistrict.com) has also offered to jump on board for the cause! Tonight at Alive After Five, for every new customer's email collected, Plum District will donate $3 towards The SADS Foundation, in honor of Audrey! Wow! (Customers must be new Atlanta area customers with valid email addresses).
The Koch family is humbled and honored by this group of friends' and company's ideas and efforts, along with so many neighbors who have also contributed baked goods, all to raise money for SADS in honor of Audrey! Please come out and enjoy some cookies, brownies and sweet treats that will be for sale, .... or just to donate to the great cause!
