As you're taking your summer vacations and relaxing
before the start of the busy fall season, we at SADS want to
let you know about our plans for the rest of the year.
|2nd Annual Climb to Conquer SADS|
We are excited to announce that
with last year's great success of Climb to Conquer SADS,
we are ready for a bigger and better CLIMB 08. This
year's family seminars will again be held at the
Crystal Resort at the base of Mt. Rainier.
These event will coincide with
several fundraising climbs of the Great Glacial
Mountain, one of which will be lead by the famous
mountaineer, John Roskelley.
This year instead
of one large seminar, several more intimate seminars
will be offered on a daily basis. In addition to the
general seminars youth and teen seminars will be a
wonderful addition this year. The seminars will be lead
be Dr. Michael Ackerman, Dr. Chris Anderson, Dr. Susan
Etheridge, Dr. Terrance Chun and other prestigious
professionals in the field.
The seminars are free so come join
the fun, and learn something more about SADS. There will
be fun, games, hiking and learning for everyone. Bring
the whole family!
|All in the Family - SADS Welcomes the Whole
Plans are coming together for the
Climb to Conquer SADS on Mt. Rainier (in Washington
State) beginning July 8-12, 2008.
(climb leader) and Dr. Chris Anderson, a Pediatric
Electrophysiologist who practices in Spokane, Washington
and friends will be climbing to the top of Mt. Rainier
to raise money and awareness for SADS. Families are
welcome to come cheer on the climbers and spend the
weekend with SADS.
Climb headquarters will be the Alta Crystal
Resort---a 22-acre resort tucked among 150-foot tall
firs in the national forest at the White River entrance
to Mt. Rainier National Park. The Ohanapecosh with its
grove of 1000 year old trees is just 20-30 minutes south
At the resort itself, you'll find
miles of hiking and biking trails, a heated pool, a hot
tub, a recreation lodge and a recreation field with
volleyball, croquet, horseshoes and a bonfire pit. In
the immediate area, you'll find horseback riding, and
mountain bike rentals. It's also easy to make a day trip
to Mt. St. Helens from there. Families can stay at the
resort with us or choose from several other resorts in
the area as well as several sites for camping.
We'd love to have you and your family join us in
Washington State! Watch our website for updates and join
us in July! If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me at email@example.com or call
us at 801-531-0937.
|NEW this year, MORE Seminar choices
Last year we had one wonderful, successful and
educational seminar. It was so great, we decided to have
MORE, MORE, MORE. This year each day during CLIMB 08
specialized seminars will be offered by our devoted
Doctors and staff. Seminars will cover topics such as
AED's, exercise and medications, family pedigrees, CPR
and new developments in research and treatment. A very
exciting addition to this year's seminar schedule is a
whole series of classes especially for youth and teens.
This year CLIMB is MORE accessible for everyone. Bring
the whole family.
