I am conducting a research study examining thoughts, coping, scar acceptance and body esteem in women with ICDs and pacemakers. I would love to fill the gap of research in this area with information that will spread awareness. Please email me at norabr@pcom.edu if interested and see the information below:
We are looking for women over 18 to complete an online study examining how women living with ICDs and pacemakers think about and cope with their scars and how this relates to overall feelings about their bodies.
Participants must have a cardiac rhythm disorder, have lived with an ICD/pacemaker for over 1.5 years, and a scar from an ICD/pacemaker to be eligible.
Participation in this study is confidential! You can complete the survey in as many sessions as needed. It will take about 35-40 minutes to complete. Please click on or copy and paste the survey to begin: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PQFKV8D
For more specific information about this study, please send an email to norabr@pcom.edu and put “Attention Nora” in the subject line.
*All participants will be eligible to participate in a raffle for a 10-dollar gift card to Target. 1 out of every 10 participants will win!*
